Do you have questions or concerns about your preexisting accommodations?
Our Ascension teachers are doing an AMAZING job of diving into distance learning and defining what our new school day looks like. Throughout these changes, you may have questions about your accommodations for testing and/or schoolwork. Ascension Student Services staff members are here to help support you and ensure your preexisting accommodations remain in place. We ask that you follow these steps to be a part of this process:
1. Talk with your teachers ~ Instead of using Google Meet group time to work out your accommodations with your teachers, send an email or ask if you can stay on Google Meet after the class meeting and talk one-on-one with your teacher. Ask your teacher questions and explain any concerns that you have about your accommodations. Our teachers want to help support you; just be willing to speak up and work with your teachers to develop an accommodations plan.
2. Contact Student Services ~ After speaking with your teacher, if you need additional support regarding your accommodations, please email the following people. We are here to help you and find ways to keep your accommodations in place.
SUGAR MILL POND CAMPUS
8th & 9th graders Email Ms. Lobello - email@example.com
10th, 11th, & 12th graders ~ Email Ms. Doga - firstname.lastname@example.org
Please email the facilitator that you typically work with during regular school:
Ms. Brown - email@example.com
Ms. Patin - firstname.lastname@example.org
Ms. Fox - email@example.com
RIVER RANCH CAMPUS

3. Be flexible and patient ~ This is probably the toughest step. Because we know you care about your schoolwork and want to do your best, you may be tempted to get stressed out and escalate an issue. Take a breath, know that you are loved deeply by your Ascension family, and follow steps 1 and 2 above.
